we have no say in selecting our parents, relatives, or place of birth and residence. Nor do we have control over our appearance or any mental or physical health conditions we may inherit.
What truly matters is how we navigate and handle life’s challenges. Some individuals excel at coping, refusing to let negative experiences dictate their lives in unproductive ways.
Others transform their adversities into opportunities for growth, gaining insight, understanding, and tolerance toward others.
Many (if not all) people experience various forms of abuse, trauma etc and many experience mental illness at some point – but they manage it/cope, so they are able to live a relatively manageable/acceptable life
