It’s really sad that I only have two people I can talk to, but I can’t share my mental health struggles with them. It’s not right that we’re pushed away and left to suffer alone. We just want someone to understand and help us, but instead, we hear the same unhelpful things: “It’s all in your head.” “You’re not trying hard enough.” “You’ll never be happy.” “I don’t want to hear it.” So, we end up keeping our pain to ourselves. It’s tough. 🙁
